About Us

Manoa Senior Care is a collection of 11 private, licensed Adult Residential Care Homes for Oahu’s seniors. We offer fully-furnished private rooms with en-suite bathrooms, all meals, medication management, activities and transportation to doctor’s appointments. All of our homes have two live-in nurses as well as a staff of nurse aides and are located on quiet streets in Manoa and Kaimuki. Our home-like settings offer happy, healthy and comfortable places for seniors to age in place.

Our team of healthcare professionals are supported by a solid administrative team, ready to provide and coordinate the services you need. We welcome the opportunity to assist you, or your loved one, in any way we can.

Our Team

Paul M. Dold, President

Born and raised in Minnesota, Paul first came to the islands when he attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa and received his bachelor’s degree. After going back to Minnesota and obtaining a law degree from the William Mitchell College of Law, Paul returned to Hawaii and began his law practice. Paul established Manoa Senior Care in 1994 with one Adult Residential Care Home in East Oahu. Today, Manoa Senior Care is comprised of eleven care homes located in Manoa and Kaimuki.

Ashley Hiljus, Director of Nursing

Ashley came to Manoa Senor Care from Minnesota in 2019, with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Bachelor’s of Nursing degree. She discovered her passion for the geriatric population during her 8+ years of working in long-term care on the mainland. Since then, she has continued to pursue that passion and grow with us at Manoa Senior Care. Ashley started with Manoa Senior Care as a nurse supporting our care homes and was promoted to a Nurse Manager in 2020. Later, Ashley became the Assistant Director of Nursing in 2022 and now, as of 2025, has progressed to the Director of Nursing role. She has focused on compassionate, creative, and holistic solutions while leading our teams with supportive guidance to impact positive outcomes for the wellbeing of our families, residents, and teams.

Traci Hiljus, Director of Human Resources

Traci was born and raised in Washington State and spent most of her career in Minnesota. She comes to Manoa Senior Care with 20+ years of business leadership and talent management background. Her experience focused on employee development to support the organization with a base of core values and integrity. Her time spent in the business environment led to extensive experience in training and development, leadership, and building successful teams. She has a passion for customer service and helping others reach their full potential.

Kashava Julian, Operations Coordinator

Born and raised on Oahu, Kashava started with Manoa Senior Care in 2016 as a nurse aide. She quickly advanced into the house supervisor role which she maintained for eight years. Her hard work and dedication to her team, residents and families has led her to be promoted to Operations Coordinator. As the Operations Coordinator, Kashava provides support to all Manoa Senior Care staff in multiple facets to ensure the best care is provided to our kupuna.

Anna Johnson, Assistant Director of Nursing

Anna is a Registered Nurse from Michigan. She came to Manoa Senior Care with experience in long-term care and community mental health. Anna brings smiles and joy to everyone by providing the utmost compassionate care. She has focused on continuing her education, researching, and updating methods with innovative solutions amongst her team. As a nurse in our care home for over 2 years and having served in the nurse manager role for 3 years, Anna represented Manoa Senior Care’s strong core values. She continues to show compassion, teamwork, excellence, honesty, and productive work leading to her promotion to Assistant Director of Nursing.

Kellylynn Mason, Nurse Manager

Kellylynn was raised in Cape Coral Florida. She married and settled around Buffalo New York. She started her career in nursing as a certified nursing assistant. She went to nursing school and graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse, while working full time and raising a family. She has 20+ years of experience in geriatrics. Kellylynn has found her passion in caring for this population. While working at Manoa Senior Care she has transitioned successfully as a nurse, to a float nurse and has been promoted to a nurse manager. She has extensive knowledge of care home operations while working as a trainer for team members as well as supporting all the care homes as needed.

Evelyn Toyama, Executive Assistant

Born and raised on Oahu, Evelyn comes to Manoa Senior Care with twenty plus years of experience in operations, management and senior care. Her expertise and skills also includes bringing people together through her ideas and inspiration.

Fiona Gao, Accountant

Fiona received her accounting degree in University of Hawaii at Manoa. She has been with Manoa Senior Care since June 2013. She is responsible for processing employee payroll, preparing invoices, and managing accounts receivable and payable.
